Xmasハンドベルコンサート 天使のハーモニーをお楽しみ下さい！ 主な演奏曲： コベントリーキャロル，聖夜， もろびとこぞりて など全10 数曲 12月14日（土）10:30~ 【出演】 広島三育学院高校ハンドベル 【会場】 瀬戸キリスト教会 瀬戸市東赤重町1-138-2 ハンドベルについて 教会の高い鐘楼につけられたベルは、神様へ捧げる礼拝の始まりを伝える“教会の声”であります。そのチャーチベルから発展していったものがハンドベルです。ハンドベルの正式名称は、イングリッシュハンドベル（EnglishHandbell.)といいます。ハンドベルは、16世紀にイギリスの教会で生まれ約450年の歴史があります。教会には、鐘楼（ベルタワー）と呼ばれる鐘を吊るす塔があります。塔の上の鐘には時を知らせるためや（時鐘）、礼拝が始まることを知らせるなどの役割がありました。その役割のために一定の順序に従った鳴らし方（※チェンジリンギング）が生み出されました。ハンドベルはこの塔の鐘を鳴らす際の練習用として用いられました。その後、独立した楽器として発展していきました。
